Best Damn Blueberry Muffins This Side of The Mass Pike

Legendary Bean-Town Blueberry Muffins

There's only one Blueberry Muffin recipe that creates muffins that you want to eat by the handful, one-after-another. Muffins my mother made every summer which elicited such jubilation and joy that my brothers and I would nearly weep with the news they were gone, as quickly as a summer-afternoon thunderstorm. The recipe is somewhat legendary in Boston. And we were grateful to our sly Irish grandmother whose one redeeming act was to make friends with the head baker at the Jordan Marsh Bakery. (Knowing my grandmother, she probably made the friendship for the sole reason of commandeering the Jordan Marsh Blueberry Muffin Recipe.) It's time: Grab your blueberries and this recipe and make your family the best damn blueberry muffins this side of the Mass Pike.
