Boston's Favorite Hot Fudge

- 1 cup butter
- 4 oz unsweetened chocolate
- 1 12oz can Carnation evaporated milk
- 1 1lb box confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Melt chocolate and butter together in a double boiler.
- Add evaporated milk.
- Gradually add confectioners sugar while stirring.
- Stir constantly for about 20 minutes until you have a very fudge-like consistency.
- Carefully pour into small jars for gifting.
- Cool before covering.
