A Piece to the Puzzle

Dennis Port General Store is humbled to be a be a part of a 1000 piece puzzle! Country Stores of New England features more than 50 historic country stores which have become regional landmarks.

Each featured store is depicted by artist Ernest O. Brown. There's nothing like the challenge of a good puzzle to unplug, bring the family together, and remember days gone by.

What makes a good country store? Penny candy, a wood burning stove, and that indispensable provision - maple syrup. What do you think makes a great country store?

Charmed by Chicago

"Sometimes my life comes around full-circle," Emeril reminisced to Joe this week in Chicago. The highlight of Joe's trip to the Houseware's Show was meeting up with Emeril Lagasse and recalling his days cooking on Cape Cod. A perfect ending to his trip was a night at the Kingston Mines of which he said, "The blues will never be the same for me, I was flipped out." Now it's time to get back to work...

Between gourmet food tasting, checking out new and interesting kitchen tools, cookware and gadgets, he should still have time to cause a little trouble. After all, when in Chicago...
